“Dr. C. I. Parhon” Clinical Hospital Iași

Integrated modernization for critical care, surgical and diagnostic spaces

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

“Dr. C. I. Parhon” Clinical Hospital Iași is one of Romania’s reference medical institutions, with continuous activity in patient care since 1943 and an important role in specialized medicine, including renal transplantation.

With 16 integrated departments and complex medical activity, the hospital has constantly invested in modernizing its infrastructure to support patient safety, the efficiency of medical care and the operation of clinical spaces according to current standards.

Within this project, Dacorum Grup contributed to the development of essential medical spaces through integrated design, construction, configuration and equipment solutions. The interventions targeted areas dedicated to critical patient care, surgical activity, complex procedures and imaging diagnostics.

Dacorum Grup’s Intervention

The project included works for four important medical areas, each with its own requirements for safety, hygiene, functionality and technical integration.

    • ICU Department: Spaces dedicated to the care of critical patients, with infrastructure for monitoring, rapid intervention and efficient access to the patient.

    • Operating Block with 4 Operating Rooms: Surgical spaces configured for hygiene, controlled flows, integrated technical infrastructure and medical team efficiency.

    • Transplant Department: A controlled medical environment, adapted to patients with complex needs and procedures with high clinical requirements.

    • Imaging Department Configuration: A controlled medical environment, adapted to patients with complex needs and procedures with high clinical requirements.

    • Imaging Department Configuration: Diagnostic spaces designed for coherent operation, safety, efficient organization and the integration of specific technical requirements.

ICU Department

In the ICU area, Dacorum Grup contributed to the development of spaces dedicated to the care of critical patients, where rapid access to the patient, well-organized work points and operational continuity are essential.

Key objectives:

    • infrastructure for medical gases and power supply;

    • integration of medical beds and support equipment;

    • efficient access for medical staff;

    • spaces adapted for monitoring and rapid intervention;

    • functional organization for intensive use.

Through this intervention, the ICU department was configured to support medical activity in a safe, ergonomic environment, prepared for the requirements of critical care.

Operating Block with 4 Operating Rooms

The operating block was developed as a complex medical space, where every detail contributes to the safety of the surgical act: clear routes, suitable materials, integrated technical infrastructure and well-organized work areas.

Main components of the intervention:

    • medical doors and controlled access areas;

    • washable finishes suitable for clinical environments;

    • clean circulation routes and coherent medical flows;

    • technical infrastructure for surgical activity;

    • spaces organized for medical team efficiency.

The 4 operating rooms were configured to support surgical procedures in stable, hygienic and functional conditions, with a focus on safety and continuity of use.

Transplant Department

The transplant department requires a high level of attention to safety, hygiene and environmental control. In this context, the project aimed to develop clinical spaces adapted to vulnerable patients and complex medical procedures.

Main directions:

    • clinical spaces with durable finishes;

    • clear medical circulation routes;

    • access areas and support spaces;

    • infrastructure adapted to complex medical activity;

    • solutions focused on patient safety.

In such a department, infrastructure has more than a functional role. It directly contributes to the stability of the medical environment, the organization of activity and the reduction of operational risks.

Imaging Department Configuration

The imaging department was configured to support medical investigations in a safe, functional space adapted to specific technical requirements.

The project focused on aligning infrastructure, patient flow, medical staff activity and the daily operational needs of the department.

Integrated areas and requirements:

    • rooms dedicated to imaging investigations;

    • control and observation area;

    • spaces adapted to patient flow;

    • efficient organization for medical staff.

Through this intervention, Dacorum Grup contributed to the creation of a coherent, efficient diagnostic space adapted to clinical activity.

Project Outcome

The intervention at “Dr. C. I. Parhon” Clinical Hospital Iași reflects Dacorum Grup’s capacity to coordinate complex medical projects, where construction, technical infrastructure, equipment and clinical flows must function as a unified system.

The result

Safe, functional and durable medical spaces, designed for the real activity of medical staff and for patients’ needs.
