Turnkey project for operating rooms, ICU, cleanrooms, medical gases and advanced imaging

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

“Prof. Dr. Nicolae Oblu” Emergency Clinical Hospital Iași is one of Romania’s reference medical institutions in the fields of neurosurgery, neurology and ophthalmology. Active since 1972, the hospital plays an important local and regional role through the complexity of the cases it treats, the performance of its medical activity and its constant focus on research and development in medicine.

In a hospital with a neurosurgical profile, medical infrastructure must support highly precise procedures, complex interventions and safe clinical flows. From the operating block and ICU to the imaging area, every space must function coherently, with the proper integration of equipment, medical gases, technical finishes and support systems.

Within this project, Dacorum Grup provided design, execution, integration and equipment solutions, contributing to the development of a modern medical environment adapted to the current requirements of a specialized hospital.

Dacorum Grup’s Intervention

The project included works and equipment for essential medical areas, with a focus on functionality, safety, technical integration and support for highly complex clinical activity.

  • Operating block with 6 operating rooms

Rooms configured for complex surgical procedures, with integrated technical infrastructure, medical equipment, lighting systems and workflows specific to the operating environment.

  • Complete ICU department with 18 beds

A space dedicated to the care of critical patients, with infrastructure for medical gases, monitoring, power supply and continuous use.

  • Turnkey cleanroom project

A complete solution for controlled medical spaces, including finishes, walls, ceilings, doors and technical elements adapted to clinical requirements.

  • Medical gases and fluids

Integration of the medical gas infrastructure required for the operation of the operating block, ICU department and other medical areas involved in the project.

  • Advanced imaging area

Complete configuration and integration of biplane angiography, MRI and CT spaces, adapted to technical requirements, clinical workflows and patient safety.

  • Operating table with full carbon fiber tabletop

Equipment dedicated to complex procedures, adapted to the needs of precision, stability and compatibility with imaging technologies used in the operating environment.

Operating Block with 6 Operating Rooms

The operating block was developed as a complex medical space where infrastructure, equipment, workflows and ergonomics must function as a unified system. The operating rooms were configured for specialized procedures, with attention to safety, hygiene, rapid access to equipment and medical team efficiency.

Integrated elements:

  • 6 operating rooms;
  • technical infrastructure for surgical activity;

  • integrated equipment and work points;
  • finishes adapted to the operating environment;
  • functional organization for complex procedures.

Through this intervention, Dacorum Grup contributed to the configuration of a modern operating block, prepared for high-precision surgical activity and intensive use.

Complete ICU Department with 18 Beds

The ICU department was developed for the care of critical patients, in a space where safety, continuity and rapid access to medical infrastructure are essential. The 18 ICU beds support monitoring, treatment and rapid intervention for patients in serious condition.

Implementation directions:

  • infrastructure for medical gases;
  • power supply and technical points for equipment;
  • spaces adapted to continuous monitoring;
  • efficient organization for medical staff;
  • solutions for intensive use and operational continuity.

This project component aimed to develop a safe, functional ICU space adapted to the real activity of an emergency hospital with a neurosurgical profile.

Turnkey Cleanroom Project

The project included the development of controlled spaces adapted to the medical requirements of the operating block and areas with high demands for hygiene and environmental control. The cleanrooms were delivered as part of an integrated solution, where construction, finishes, infrastructure and equipment must be aligned.

Main components:

  • walls and ceilings for controlled medical spaces;
  • medical doors;
  • washable and easy-to-clean finishes;
  • integration of technical elements into the clinical space;
  • solutions adapted to medical workflows;
  • coordinated execution for unified operation.

Through this approach, Dacorum Grup delivered a complete solution, from design and execution to the integration of the infrastructure and equipment required for medical space operation.

Medical Gas and Fluid Infrastructure

The medical gas and fluid infrastructure was an essential component of the project. These systems support the daily activity of the operating block, ICU department and intervention areas, where the constant and safe availability of medical resources is critical.

Targeted elements:

  • routes for medical gases and fluids;
  • distribution to points of use;
  • integration into the operating block and ICU;
  • infrastructure adapted to medical equipment;
  • safety and continuity of operation;
  • technical support for complex procedures.

Through the integration of these systems, the project contributed to the creation of stable, safe infrastructure prepared for continuous use.

Advanced Imaging Area

The imaging area was configured for the integration of advanced diagnostic and interventional equipment, in spaces adapted to technical requirements, clinical workflows and patient safety. The project included the complete configuration of spaces for biplane angiography, MRI and CT, with attention to infrastructure, access, ergonomics and daily operation.

Integrated equipment:

  • Biplane angiography – a dedicated space for neurovascular and interventional procedures, where precise visualization and rapid patient access are essential;
  • MRI – an imaging room adapted to the specific technical requirements of magnetic resonance, with the necessary infrastructure integrated for safe and efficient operation;
  • CT – a diagnostic space configured for rapid investigations, efficient patient flow and daily clinical use;
  • associated technical and work spaces;
  • infrastructure adapted to imaging equipment;
  • integration into the hospital’s clinical workflow.

This component of the project supports medical activity through access to diagnostic and interventional spaces configured for precision, efficiency and safety.

Operating Table with Full Carbon Fiber Tabletop

The operating table with a full carbon fiber tabletop completed the hospital’s surgical infrastructure. Especially in complex procedures, this type of equipment supports patient positioning, medical team access and compatibility with technologies used in the operating environment.
