Since we know that progress in architecture is never static, but dynamic and always at the center of attention, we want to be among those who challenge the boundaries in this field. Therefore, we consider that SHARE Architects is among the organizations that have always focused on innovation in architecture and construction through the solutions offered within its events.

We present new ideals in radiology and medical imaging

Therefore, the SHARE Experts 2024 conference can be called a hub of ideals in the construction of spaces for hospital units, within which we were able to offer a clear vision for increasing the quality of health to a diverse audience, composed of specialists from inside and outside Romania . Although our activity in this field has always been diverse, we have put in the foreground innovative solutions in the design, construction and efficient arrangement of medical imaging spaces, for the integration of advanced angiography, MRI, CT, mobile imaging-guided radiotherapy and digital radiography systems .

We pursue optimal functionality from equipment to medical space

From the structural elements to the equipment itself, optimal functionality was pursued to improve medical records and workflows, demonstrated through several large-scale projects. Although the performance of radiology and imaging equipment is an important factor for increasing the quality of medical services, we wanted to present the way in which their optimal functionality can be defined by the quality of the integration and arrangement of the medical space.

Therefore, our solution was to transform hospital imaging and radiology spaces into true centers of innovation in patient diagnosis, focusing on achieving maximum efficiency in their design and execution. From the structure to the infrastructure and equipment, we have ensured that the entire space provides the highest standards of performance, comfort and safety for healthcare professionals and patients. Through the presented projects, we have presented the impact that Dacorum’s expertise has had in raising standards in medical documents, our elaborate layouts requiring maximum precision down to the smallest details for the equipment to provide efficiency to hospital units at the level of all relevant aspects, from the experience patients during examinations to the workflow of medical specialists throughout the institution and optimizing their decision-making processes.

Limits: something to respect or overcome?

In many areas of medicine, specialists often have two questions: how can they increase the quality of health of their patients and how can they overcome the known limits in their treatment. In surgery in particular, where every detail counts, technology has played a decisive role in millions of procedures, optimizing the decision-making process of doctors and the comfort with which they can operate even in the most complex interventions. This is an aspect that the Romanian Society of Surgery emphasizes in each of its projects to be imprinted in the vision of every present or future surgeon in Romania. During the National Congress of Surgery, doctors from all corners of Romania and from other countries gathered to explore the newest and most modern concepts in the field, but also to be able to observe the latest technological innovations for operating rooms, having as and main discussion topics Artificial Intelligence in Surgery, New in Colorectal Surgery and Neuroendocrine Tumors.

Delivering the vision, demonstrating the solution

Since our inception, we’ve known that technology is a game-changer, and that cutting-edge innovations in medical devices can redefine the standards of operational efficiency. That’s why, from construction elements to infrastructure and integrated equipment, we focused on offering the optimal quality for each operator block through complete and customized solutions configurations. But what exactly are these configurations made of? By means of advanced technologies from some of the most renowned manufacturers in Germany and Italy, aimed directly at the needs of the medical team and patients, but also of hospital units.
In addition to defined structures of optimal safety and durability, we have demonstrated the impact of digitization for the entire operating room through Rein Medical’s Operion video-routing system. Through it, specialists have access to all relevant clinical information during the procedure, from systems such as RIS or PACS, at the highest resolutions, thus achieving an optimized workflow. Also, through the Dr Mach sciatica lamps, the Medifa operating table, the Goldline surgical retractor system from Condor MedTec and the advanced Exagon pendant from Oxyone, our experts have taken into account that every effective intervention does not only depend on the performance of each individual system, but also the adaptability of the entire equipment configuration. But how?

Efficiency from equipment to medical space

Our experts envisioned the transformation of the entire medical space into an environment characterized by an optimal and flexible visualization of the operating field or the patient’s clinical situation in an ergonomic and versatile manner, thanks to:

In all our projects, we want every solution we offer to be aligned not only to the needs and possibilities of each client, but also to a well-defined set of values ​​that we respect and apply every time: continuous improvement, performance and responsibility. The significance of these values ​​also applies to the established manufacturers we are proud to work with, one of which is Stryker. Stryker Corporation is known as a true leader in the field of medical technology, being present on the international scene for over 80 years and offering a vast portfolio of solutions designated for the hospital environment. They are recognized for their performance and versatility, with the company always as dedicated to the element of novelty for each system offered as it is to their efficiency. A separate category of systems produced by Stryker and, at the same time, of solutions offered by Dacorum, is the Stryker Acute Care range, which is represented by all patient transport systems, but also by ultra-performing hospital beds.

On May 24, 2023, we had the honor to be the organizers of the “Be Smart, Be BackSmart” event, together with Stryker and in partnership with ForLife Kinetics, to present how the entire Stryker Acute Care range uses the most advanced mobility techniques for transporting patients, but also how the range of motorized stretchers play an important role in increasing the comfort and safety of medical personnel. Importance?

In the transport of patients, the human body usually exerts an increased physical effort and overloads some muscle groups and some joints. These demands seem harmless in the short term, but on the other hand, being a repetitive work process, they have a slow and unnoticed effect that can cause serious musculoskeletal problems in the long term, including postural problems or other diseases, but also in a median drop in staff morale.

Therefore, it can be said that the range of motorized Stryker Acute Care stretchers was created to address both the patient and the medical staff. Each system is specially designed to minimize the effort of handling and use, can be adjusted according to the height of the user for increased comfort, demonstrating, with the help of motion sensors from ForLife Kinetics, the difference it makes does in reducing the musculoskeletal strain of the medical staff during handling and therefore the chances of long-term health problems.

Parhon hospital days – June 7, 2023

In the heart of Iași and, therefore, of Moldova, the clinical hospital “Dr. C I Parhon” continues to represent a medical center of excellence, whose firm concern is to restore their state of health to the highest standards. At the same time, it managed to stand out for its activity in the field of transplantation, having a well-known resilience in offering high-quality treatment including during the COVID-19 pandemic and being the only hospital in Romania that was nominated for Excellence in Patient Care Awards given by the Royal College of Physicians in London. In recent years, one of the main missions of the hospital has been to provide a modern environment to both medical personnel and patients, through its commitment to restore the hospital infrastructure and clean rooms, but also to equip them with medical equipment of the highest performance and versatility, becoming a real center of innovation with one of the most modern imaging departments at national level.

In June 2023, the Parhon Hospital organized the “Parhon Hospital Days” medical conference at the Braunstein Palace in Iași to explore the latest concepts in several medical fields, from patient hospitalization to surgical ones, on the occasion of its 80th anniversary . At this conference, Dacorum had the honor of being a partner to present the effectiveness of its vision to great personalities in the world of medicine, the effect of which was felt in the ATI, transplant and imaging departments, but also in the operating rooms from the hospital. Therefore, our representatives communicated not only why the systems offered by Dacorum can create a radical change in reaching new heights in medicine, including some topics discussed during the conference, but also why our vision and that of Parhon hospital are aligned from the point of view of considering the quality of the medical environment as a defining factor of efficiency in treating patients.
