Medical technology has the power to truly change the world, because it can be the key element that makes the difference between success or failure of the medical act. At the same time, it is constantly changing, because every year we want to discover new capabilities, but also to overcome new and old limits. Therefore, the vision to provide, through each equipment, precision and performance during surgery has an essential role in determining its outcome and the patient’s life and health. Between May 24-27, 2023, in Eforie Nord, Constanța County, Dacorum wanted to share this vision at the National Surgery Conference, where over 300 doctors had the opportunity to discover the latest innovations in medical technology, which have an essential role in increasing the quality of each surgery.

Our role as a partner was to present the most advanced medical equipment, designed especially for the operating room. On the other hand, our desire and purpose was to offer a new perspective, reflecting our dedication to hospital environments: to offer the advantages of advanced equipment, which, properly integrated, has its purpose oriented towards both doctor and patient, being not only efficient and performant, but being designed for a simplified and ergonomic work process. Therefore, we presented five solutions to bring the innovation of modern medical technology to the operating room:

• Medifa operating tables – through which the surgical act knows the notion of absolute versatility
• Dr Mach scialitic lamps – through which tissue visualization takes place at the highest standards
• Rein Medical videorouting systems – through which digitization in the operating room makes the difference in each procedure
• Goldline retractor systems from Condor MedTec – the adaptable configuration to guarantee a safe and comfortable position of each patient during surgery
• Medical DM Pendants – ensuring optimal connectivity to the medical gas and fluid network

On May 24, 2023, we had the honor of organizing the “Be Smart, Be BackSmart” event, together with Stryker and in partnership with ForLife Kinetics, to showcase how the entire Stryker Acute Care range uses the most advanced mobility techniques to transport patients, and how the range of motorized stretchers plays an important role in increasing the comfort and safety of healthcare professionals. Importance?

In transporting patients, the human body usually exerts increased physical effort and overloads of some muscle groups and joints. These demands seem harmless in the short term, but on the other hand, being a repetitive work process, they have a slow and unnoticed effect that can cause serious long-term musculoskeletal problems, including postular problems or other diseases, but also a median drop in staff morale.

Therefore, it can be said that the Stryker Acute Care range of motorized stretchers was created to address both the patient and medical professionals. Each system has a special design designed to minimize handling and operating effort, and can be adjusted according to the user’s height for increased comfort, demonstrating with the help of motion sensors from ForLife Kinetics the difference it makes in reducing the musculoskeletal effort of the medical professional during handling and,  Hence, the chances of long-term health problems occurring.
